And so it begins...

The time has come to update my interior design. If you can call what's currently going on "interior design". Its mostly a mish-mash of hand-me-down furniture and paint colors I can't remember ever liking, all weathered/bumped/stained/broken by the activity of two growing boys. I have a vision of a beachy/cottage/shabby chic haven. I've spent hours collecting pins on Pinterest, but my ideas have yet to leap from the screen and onto the wall. I'm a procrastinator, I'm not terribly creative, and I despise the upheaval that comes with redecorating. I've waited for awhile hoping that someone would nominate me for one of those shows where they fly you off to Disneyland and do a complete retrofit of your house while you're gone. Still waiting. I'm on a tight budget, and I'm cranky. But it must be done. Follow me on my journey as I attempt to knock a DIY project off my list, one weekend at at time.
